FORT WAYNE, Ind. (WANE) – As part of the historic Honor Flight on Monday, Purple Heart veterans performed three wreath-laying ceremonies in Washington D.C.

WANE 15 traveled along with the 102 Purple Heart veterans on their trip. Watch the video above to see the ceremonies at the Navy and Marine Corps memorials and at the Tomb of the Unknown Soldier in Arlington National Cemetery.

Honor Flight Northeast Indiana told WANE 15 the wreath laid at the Marine Memorial on Monday was still on display there Thursday. The wreath laid at the Navy Memorial is now in their museum.
