Power restored in southeast Fort Wayne

A power outage in southeast Fort Wayne affected multiple traffic lights early Wednesday. 

Around 7:45 a.m., lights went out on Paulding Road at Anthony Boulevard, and at Hessen Cassel Road. Those intersections were to be treated as four-way stops, a drivers were advised to exercise caution in that area.

Power was restored around 9:30 a.m. Indiana Michigan Power spokesman Tracy Warner said the outage was due to an equipment issue.

Indiana Michigan Power reported 1,875 customers were without power at 8:30 a.m. An estimated restoration time of 11:00 a.m. is listed on the company’s website.

Officials did not say what caused the outage.
