If you went to Harlan Days on Saturday, you may have met Chester who is possibly the world’s largest steer.

Chester is a 5-year-old Holstiein steer, owned by Marvin Schwartz, weighs 2,700 pounds and is somewhere over 73 inches tall. An ‘official’ measurement of his height has not been recorded. The Guinness World Record is 74.8 inches set by a steer from Illinois named Blossom who died in 2015.

Chester was apart of the Harlan Days petting zoo. Visitors could see Chester and even take photos with him.
