Driver, 40, killed when pickup rolls

FORT WAYNE, Ind. (WANE) — The driver killed in a Sunday morning crash has been identified.

Police and medics were called just before 4:30 a.m. to the 5800 block of West Wallen Road, west of Fritz Road, on a report of a suspicious vehicle that was partially in a ditch with its tail lights on.

The vehicle was upside down off the road.

According to a report from the Allen County Sheriff’s Department, crews arrived and discovered the driver had been ejected from the pickup and he was found down on the ground, the sheriff’s report said.

Michael S. Millidge, Jr, 40, was pronounced dead scene. An autopsy found the Fort Wayne man died of blunt force injuries due to a motor vehicle crash and his death was ruled an accident.

It’s not clear was led to the crash. The sheriff’s department said the crash is under investigation.
