Police have identified the victim of a shooting that left one person dead and another person injured in South-Central Fort Wayne Sunday night.
Fort Wayne Police Department officers responded to a reported shooting on the 200 block of East Masterson Ave at 7:28 p.m.
Prior to officers arriving on the scene, they received additional calls stating this was a drive-by shooting and that the suspects had fled the scene in a vehicle.
At the scene, officers found two adult men suffering from gunshot wounds and both were transported to a local hospital. The first victim was initially listed in critical condition, but was pronounced dead once he was at the hospital.
He has been identified as 29-year-old Tramane L. Scott of Fort Wayne. The Allen County Coroner determined the cause of death to be gunshot wound(s), and the manner of death to be homicide.
The second victim was listed in critical condition at the scene.
Officers were told that there had been two other victims suffering from gunshot wounds who walked into a local hospital. There was no information given as to whether these victims were related to the incident on Masterson.
Detectives canvassed the scene and report that the shooting is under investigation. They ask that anyone with information call Fort Wayne police or Allen County Crime Stoppers.
Scott is the 26th homicide in Allen County for 2018.
