Police arrest suspected cocaine dealer

Police arrested a man Thursday morning on allegations he was dealing cocaine from a Canterbury Green apartment.

Just after 11:30 a.m., members of the Fort Wayne Police Department’s Vice and Narcotics Division served a search warrant at 5103 Stonehedge Blvd. Apt. 2. In a news release, police said undercover detectives had prevously bought more than 26 grams of cocaine from the resident of the apartment – 27-year-old Nermin Demirovic.

Police found $1,300 cash from the cocaine deals plus an additional $1,483 cash on Demirovic, as well as .4 grams of cocaine, the release said.

During a search of the apartment, police found:

  • 417.8 grams of a green leafy substance which field tested positive for THC
  • 23 500ML THC Kingpen vape cartridges which tested positive for the presence of THC
  • 22.5 grams of a white rocklike or powder substance which filed tested positive for cocaine
  • a Glock .45 caliber handgun
  • two .45 caliber magazines
  • miscellaneous scales and drug paraphernalia
  • a ledger
  • an additional $1,035 in US currency.

Police arrested Demirovic on six counts of Dealing Cocaine.

Police said the investigation is “ongoing.”
