Fort Wayne Police officers were captured in a photo pushing a vehicle off an east Fort Wayne roadway.

In a photo posted on Facebook, at least three Fort Wayne Police officers are seen pushing a sedan from South Anthony Boulevard onto Maumee Avenue, near Concordia Lutheran Cemetery.

“There are some times when everyone needs a little push!,” the department wrote in the post. “Officers working together to help our citizens is how we do business! Thank you for helping someone in need!”

The police department used the photo as a recruiting tool, saying, “We are looking for more people who want to help others!” The department is currently accepting applications for basic recruits and lateral transfers.

One woman wrote on the social media post that Fort Wayne Police are “always willing to help.”
