Fort Wayne Animal Care & Control is teaming up with Fort Wayne Autism Center. They’re offering a camp designed specifically for children with learning differences or disabilities.
This camp has been designed to also provide social opportunities, guidance with animal interaction and to teach compassion and empathy through responsible pet ownership.
During the two-day camp, campers will learn about the shelter, help the animals in their care, learn what it means to be a responsible pet owner and learn how to stay safe around animals.
The Pets for All Summer Camp will take place at the shelter located at 3020 Hillegas Road, August 3-4 from 9 a.m. to Noon. Registration is $50 per camper.
