FORT WAYNE, Ind. (WANE) –A woman has been charged in a fatal crash that took the life of a Yoder man Saturday.

Kaycee A. Reed aka Kaycee Lahey, 28, of Yoder was charged Monday with causing death when operating a motor vehicle while intoxicated, according to court documents.
Reed drove her vehicle left of center and off the roadway around 2:20 p.m., striking a pole on Lower Huntington Road, west of Anoka Drive.
Reed was unable to take a field sobriety test because she was hospitalized and “bedridden,” court documents said. The passenger who was killed in the crash was identified as Corbin Reed, 28,also of Yoder. He died from multiple blunt force injuries, the Allen County Coroner ruled, and his death was ruled an accident.
At the hospital, Reed was administered a chemical test, indicating a .11% BAC, above the legal driving limit of .08%, court documents said
According to a report from the Allen County Coroner’s Office, a vehicle left the roadway, struck a pole and rolled over.
This crash is under investigation by the Allen County Sheriff’s Office, the Allen County Prosecutor’s Office and the coroner’s office.
