Fort Wayne, Ind. (WANE) - This time of year is a favorite for many people as county fairs all over are taking place.
The Allen County fair will run until Monday, July 30, with different events happening each day.
Some people have been attending the county fair for years, like Keri Davison who started coming as a child with her parents, and now brings her own children to the fair.
"I call this my happy place, I can't wait every year to come out. We show llamas, but just coming out and seeing the animals and the people and the environment, having my kids involved in it, and just knowing I grew up in it." Davison said.
There are also many young kids participating in 4-H events for the first time like 9-year-old Rachel Turney. She is excited to show her bunny, and see the other bunnies for her first year.
Another big hit are the rides, and the classic treats.
Wednesday, July 25 will feature the 4-H Dairy Show at noon, free crafts with the queen and court from 3-4:30 p.m., and art and music night from 7:30-9:30 p.m., along with more.
