Fire officials investigated, after a vacant house’s garage caught fire early Friday.
Crews were called to the area of Paulding Road and South Anthony Boulevard just before 3:30 a.m. They arrived to find an attached garage on fire, at a home in the 1900 block of Paulding Road, just east of Anthony.
Firefighters focused their efforts on the back of the garage, until it was safe to enter the structure. They were able to get the fire under control in about 30 minutes.
According to fire officials, the house was vacant. Nothing was found inside following a search. No one was hurt.
The garage fire did ultimately damage the house
The cause of the fire is under investigation.
