Newest K9 officer sworn in at South Whitley Town Council meeting

SOUTH WHITLEY, Ind. (WANE) – South Whitley has its newest K9 officer.

At the South Whitley Town Council meeting Tuesday, Jake the poodle was sworn in with School Resource Officer Tim Clark.

Jake will primarily serve as an emotional support dog for students at Whitko Community Schools. Officer Clark is also training him to detect odors for safety purposes, and if a student ever needs to be tracked.
