Mustard Seed’s Super Saturday showcases furniture bank’s mission

Mustard Seed Furniture Bank held a Super Saturday event for people to drop off donations and see more of the facility. 

The furniture bank helps provide household furnishings to families and individuals as they rebuild their lives after suffering disaster, personal tragedy or other misfortunes.

For the event, they held an open house and gave tours of the warehouse to share a little more about what their mission. 

“They can come out, drop off things, but it is a little bit more. It’s an opportunity for them to see first hand what happens with their donations. Where do they go, who do we serve, maybe learn some more about events coming up as well as volunteer opportunities,” said Executive director Suzie Jordan.

The Mustard Seed first started in Fort Wayne in 2002.
