Runners in the annual MS Run the U.S. made it through Fort Wayne Saturday afternoon. The run is an ultra relay that raises awareness and funds multiple sclerosis research and support.
Fort Wayne served as the finish line for the 14th segment of the coast to coast run.
The run began in Los Angeles back in April and will finish in New York City in August.
Ryan Hynek ran the 155 mile long leg for his families members suffering with the disease.
“This is only 6 days for me, where it is a lifetime right now for them,” he said. “Just for me to be able to raise money and get through this distance is very rewarding for myself, but the bigger reward is going to come once we find a cure for MS.”
Tomorrow, runners will begin the next segment of the race to Medina, Ohio.
