Kosciusko County motorcycle crash

A motorcyclist was airlifted from a crash with a car Sunday in Kosciusko County.

Police and medics were called just before 4 p.m. to the intersection of S.R. 25 and C.R. 200 South, southwest of Warsaw, on a report of a crash there. Responders arrived to find a Honda motorcycle and a Dodge Dart had collided.

According to investigators, the 1996 Honda motorcycle and Dodge Dart were both northbound when the Dodge slowed for a vehicle that was turning from S.R. 25 onto C.R. 200 South. The motorcycle rear-ended the Dodge, police said.

The motorcyclist – Ryan K McLaughlin, 37, of Winona Lake – was airlifted to a Fort Wayne hospital in critical condition, with “extensive” head injuries, police said.

The driver of the Dodge – Phillip Burman, 27, of Warsaw – was not hurt.

The crash is under investigation.
