COLUMBIA CITY, Ind. (WANE) – Monica Ralston has been named the Remarkable Woman of Northeast Indiana.

WANE 15 announced her win on the news at noon, and surprised her at Mary Raber Montessori School, which Ralston helped create and open in Whitley County.

Ralston is a true teacher at heart. That’s why Elaina and Larissa Leach nominated her for WANE 15’s Remarkable Women of Northeast Indiana.

Now she’s headed to Los Angeles to be part of a special show with all the other Remarkable Women winners from the other Nexstar stations across the country. Vera Bradley donated luggage for her trip.

The special Remarkable Women show with the winners from across the country will air on April 15th at 7 pm on WANE 15.
