Miss Indiana, Kendallville native places top 15

The Miss America results are rolling in. Miss Indiana Lydia Tremaine, finished in the top 15. 

The Kendallville native is the only the 13th Miss Indiana to make it that far.

Yesterday, Tremaine announced on Instagram that she had been honored with a preliminary talent win at Miss America. 

She sang Frank Sinatra’s “That’s Life” in the third and final night of preliminary competition. She posted about the win on her Instagram saying “thank you to everyone”, and “go Hoosiers!”

Miss New York, Nia Franklin won the Miss America title.

Miss Indiana has won the pageant once in 2009 when Katie Stam of Seymour took top honors.
