FORT WAYNE, Ind. (WANE) Fort Wayne’s first festival of the season at Headwaters Park kicks off this Saturday.

Michiana Wine Festival Co-director, Nichole Thomas, joined First News Sunday to talk about what’s new this year.

There will be more than 20 wine samples from Indiana wineries. The event is six hours long so you can take in all the fun.

There are other activities too including a craft market, 10 local food trucks and live music.

Tickets are $30 in advance or $35 at the door. DD tickets are $10 with free soft drinks ad water. VIP tickets are $55 with special upgrades. The first 4,000 through the door get a free souvenir wine glass. (21 and over only.)

Security is provided for the safety of guests. Security reserves the right to remove those showing signs of extreme intoxication.

The organizers have partnered with Courtyard by Marriott Fort Wayne Downtown at Grand Wayne Convention Center for an awesome deal: overnight room accommodations for up to four people, breakfast for two and two tickets to #MWF2018 (extra tickets available for purchase with package.)
