Meth & marijuana found during traffic stop

LAGRANGE, Ind. (WANE) - The LaGrange Police Department has released details about a traffic stop that lead to the arrest of three people on drug charges.

Around 11:10 Thursday night, police pulled over a car for a traffic infraction. While officers were investigating they discovered about 42 grams of suspected methamphetamine. They also found suspected marijuana, a hypodermic needle and other drug paraphernalia.

Police arrested Justin Gayheart of Lagrange, Stephen Mesta of Pleasant Lake, and Rosemary Kindig of Sturgis, Michigan. All three are being charged with felonies including Maintaining a Common Nuisance. Gayheart & Mesta are facing felony possession charges.

The Lagrange County Sheriff's Department and Indiana State Police assisted with the investigation.
