Police in DeKalb County say a man suffering from a medical emergency crashed his car into the median along I-69 this afternoon.
Police say the 52-year-old man was driving a Ford van south bound on I-69 near the 323 mile marker around 3 p.m. when he suffered a medical emergency.
The van left the road and went into the median, hitting a cable barrier. The van continued to hit the cable barrier for about 200 feet before coming to a stop.
A passenger in the van was taken to an area hospital with a complaint of back pain. The driver was also transported to an area hospital.
