People gathered at Headwaters Park Saturday for the March for Babies.
The march is a 5K walk to raise money for the March of Dimes. The money from the march specifically goes to research about the health and wellness of mothers and their babies.
“One in 10 in the state of Indiana is born before 37 weeks and that is too many,” says march participant Jeff Johnson, “We’re walking to ensure that all women and all babies are covered in the fight for health.”
The event also included games and lunch.
The event raised over $50,000.
The 2018 Wabash County March for Babies will be held in Wabash on May 5, at Paradise Springs Park.
