Fort Wayne Police had to remove a man from an overturned vehicle late Saturday night, after he crashed his car.
Police were called to Spy Run and Wagner Street around 11:35 p.m. Saturday. When they arrived, they found a man trapped upside-down in his vehicle. Crews weren’t able to remove the man from the vehicle until after midnight.
Authorities say the man drove off the road, through a light pole, and rolled his vehicle a couple of times, before coming to a stop upside down.
The man is in serious, but stable, condition.
Investigators are working to determine if alcohol or speed were factors.
A street light on Spy Run was damaged in the crash. A local power company worked to restore the lighting, along the left side of Spy Run, north of Superior. The repair took a few hours. Power to area houses was not impacted.
The incident remains under investigation.
