A man is facing charges for allegedly stabbing a 70-year-old man from LaGrange, Indiana.
The LaGrange County Sheriff’s Department and Indiana Conservation Department were called to the 6200 block of East County Road 200 South, Saturday at 4:35 p.m.
The investigation reports that 36-year-old Wes Wilson Weinberg of Marion, Indiana stabbed 70-year-old Stanley Myers of LaGrange after the two became involved in a verbal altercation.
Officers report the encounter escalated into a physical altercation when Weinberg stabbed Myers in the shoulder, upper back area of his body with a fixed blade hunting knife.
Myers sustained a deep puncture wound and lost a considerable amount of blood as a result of this attack.
Weinberg later turned himself into the LaGrange County Sheriff’s Department without further incident. He was was arrested on a preliminary change of aggravated battery, a Level 3 felony.
Assisting in this investigation was the LaGrange Police Department.
This matter is still under investigation at this time.
