A Pierceton man has been charged with molesting a girl under 14 years old, allegedly during a supervised visitation.

Daniel J. Anderson II, 32, faces two counts of felony Child Molesting. He was charged in Kosciusko County Superior Court on Friday.

According to a probable cause affidavit, on March 13, Warsaw Police launched an investigation after a child welfare caseworker reported that a girl said Anderson had touched inappropriately her.

The day before, the case worker was overseeing a supervised visitation with Anderson and the child at a Kosciusko County library. During the visit, the caseworker said Anderson put his hand under the table and took the girl’s hand and put it on his genitals, the affidavit said. He also reached for the waistband of the girl’s pants, the affidavit said.

Feeling “uncomfortable,” the caseworker used her cell phone to record the incident under the table, the affidavit said.

The caseworker spoke with the girl later, who told the caseworker that Anderson had touched her inappropriately and forced her to touch him. She said two years ago, at his home, Anderson held her down and touched her and made her touch him, the affidavit said.

According to the affidavit, a Kosciusko County Sheriff’s deputy investigated a molesting report against Anderson in August 2017. In that report, the same girl said Anderson made her watch sexual movies and he touched her inappropriately, the affidavit said.

Prosecutors have charged Anderson now with the 2017 incident and the most recent incident this week.
