Eight years ago, youth soccer teams from around the area began participating in a 2-day tournament with the goal of raising money for the Vera Bradley Foundation. Today, the Shoot for a Cure tournament , hosted by Fort Wayne United Futbol Club, has grown to over 140 teams spanning 5 states.

Last year, the Walk For A Cause was created as another avenue for fundraising and promoting the importance of breast cancer research. Over $72,000 has been donated to the Foundation from this combined effort.

The now expanded to a 3-day event, the Walk For A Cause and Shoot for a Cure tournament return. This year will include a silent auction featuring Vera Bradley items, food trucks and lots of other festivities.

The walk will be on Friday, April 27th at 6:30 p.m. This 3 mile walk raises funds for the Vera Bradley Foundation for Breast Cancer Research. The fee is $25-30 and includes a personalized sign, two beverages and a T-shirt.

The Shoot For A Cure soccer tournament will be held April 28-29th, 2018. Both events will be at the Plex North at 1807 E. California Road.
