Kroger is launching its 26th annual campaign to raise money for the Fort Wayne Children’s Zoo.
Since 1993, the grocery store chain has collected $1.8 million for the zoo. More than $31,000 was raked in from stick sales. Kroger hopes to beat that amount this year. Overall, around $80,000 was given to the zoo last year.
Shoppers can get scannable, collectible Zoo Day stickers for $1, $3 and $5. Kroger will also donate a portion of its sales on Wednesday, May 16.
Customers should save their receipts from that day’s Kroger purchases. On Saturday, May 19, the zoo willl admit one child free with a paying adult who brings their receipt dated May 16, 2018.
