Kids celebrate Easter at Byron Health Egg Hunt

Local News

Dozens of children celebrated Easter at the annual Byron Health Center’s Eggstravaganza Community Easter Egg Hunt on Saturday.

In addition to the egg hunt, kids could make crafts and take pictures with the Easter Bunny, Peter Cottontail and various Fort Wayne mascots including the Mastadon.

The event was supposed to take place outdoors, but the weather caused it to be brought inside.

The kids hunted for the eggs in the hallways instead, though it was hard for the organizers to find hiding places.

“It’s a little difficult to hide some eggs in a hallway, but we’re going to do our best,” said Byron Health’s Director of Marketing and Public Relations John Drebenstedt, “It will be more like a run and get as opposed to a hunt.”

This is the event’s 5th year.
