Kate’s Kart celebrated its 10th anniversary during its annual ice cream social and fundraiser Saturday.
The event took place at Riverside Gardens in Leo. It featured bouncy houses, free ice cream, pony rides, kiddie games, and live, family-friendly entertainment.
Donations were accepted to benefit Kate’s Kart, a non-profit organization that provides free books to hospitalized children.
Kate’s Kart was started in 2008 by the Layman Family to honor the memory of their daughter, Katherine Anne Layman (Baby Kate).
The event also featured a book fair that included purchases for either personal use or to be donated to the organization.
