Jefferson Pointe hosting trick-or-treat event as Halloween spending at all-time high

Local News

Jefferson Pointe shopping center will host a family and pet-friendly trick-or-treat event Halloween evening, and a special guest will make an appearance.

From 5-7 p.m. Oct. 31, participating Jefferson Pointe merchants with a pumpkin on their door will pass out candy to trick-or-treaters and those with a skeleton bone will give away treats to pets on leashes. What’s more, the Headless Horseman will ride horseback throughout Jefferson Pointe, passing out treats.

The event is free.

“Trick or Treating seems to grow each year as we see more and more children dressed with their pets in costume,” said Marketing Director, Katrina Walburn. “This year we have decided to add the Headless Horseman to the festivities! Our merchants are amazing, and we are so appreciative of their support of the community.”

Spirit Halloween is one of the Jefferson Pointe merchants that pops up this time of year. The seasonal Halloween store sells a wide variety of costumes and decorations.

With Americans expected to spend around $9 billion this Halloween, the store sees a good amount of business each year, and that trend continues this year.
