A jack-knifed semi blocked northbound lanes of Interstate 69 early Friday.
The incident occurred at around 8:20 a.m. at the 303 mile marker, which is just north of the US 24/Jefferson Boulevard interchange near Lutheran Hospital. The cab of the semi could be seen off the roadway and crashed through the guardrail, with the trailer blocking two lanes.
Traffic was flowing slowly in the far left lane around the crash. The southbound lanes were not affected.
It’s not clear how the crash happened, but I-69 was slick and hazardous with Indiana State Police reporting numerous crashes and slide-offs between Auburn and Fort Wayne.
It’s not clear if anyone was hurt in the crash.
