Intersection reopens after crash involving bus

Local News

The intersection of Fairfield and West Pontiac Street has reopened after a crash involving a Fort Wayne Community School bus and a pickup truck. The crash happened just after 7:00  Friday morning on Fairfield Avenue just north of Fairfield Elementary School.

There were children on the bus, but police tell WANE 15 that there were no injuries involved with the crash. Emergency Medical Technicians were dispatched to the scene to make sure everyone was ok. It’s unclear where the bus was going.

The intersection was closed for around 30 minutes while officers investigated. The bus was then moved to a side street where the kids were able to board two additional busses. The driver of the pickup was able to leave the scene before the bus was cleared from the intersection.
