Over 700 people gathered at the Grand Wayne Center to raise money to help homeless women and children.
The Rescue Mission held their 10th annual Charis House Gala Friday night. It featured a live and silent auction.
All of the money from the event benefits the Charis House, a residential shelter for homeless women and children.
“This is overwhelming support for the Rescue Mission as we are addressing the root cause of homelessness, but especially the trauma that our children experience as their mother is going through difficult times,” said Rescue Mission CEO Donovan Coley.
The Charis House serves up to 40 women and children at their facility at a time.
