The Fort Wayne Salvation Army members are on call, and the American Red Cross are already in the Carolinas.
NewsChannel 15 talked to one of the members of the Fort Wayne Red Cross, Bruce Walters. Walters said, “We’ve also been serving meals in the shelters and they’ve said it’s been very rewarding and people are very happy to have them there.”
The Fort Wayne chapter of the Salvation Army is currently “on call” and ready to go to the Carolinas whenever they are needed.
A member of the Salvation Army, Timothy Smith said, “100 percent of the money goes to the relief efforts, we have several units already there, we prepared a week before we had about 15 units there before the storm even hit.”
