Grant Co. school locked down after ‘shots fired’ call

More than 100 officers were called to a Grant County high school Tuesday after a 911 call about shots fired at the school.

Around 9 a.m., officers responded to Madison Grant High School in Fairmount. The school was put on lockdown.

Police arrived and conducted a sweep of the school. After searching for 45 minutes, they didn’t find anything suspicious, but did find construction going on.

More than 100 officers were on scene from various agencies, including a state police helicopter.
