Funeral services set for firefighters killed in Marion plane crash

Funeral arrangements have been made for two firefighters killed in a plane crash in Marion Monday.

A funeral service for Kyle Hibst and David Wittkamper will be held together at Elwood High School on April 11 at 11 a.m. Rev. Josh Crockett and Rev. Kal Rissman will officiate.

Full firefighter honors will be provided by the Pipe Creek Volunteer Fire Department where Hibst and Wittkamper volunteered. Other departments and agencies will assist.

Wittkamper will be buried in Sunset Memorial Park Cemetery in Elwood.

Visitation for Wittkamper will be held from 1 p.m. to 8 p.m. April 10 at Copher-Fesler-May Funeral Home in Elwood. The funeral home is located at 415 South Anderson Street.

Memorials are suggested for the Pipe Creek Volunteer Fire Department or Grace Baptist Church. 

Visitation for Hibst will be April 9 from 1 p.m. to 9 p.m., also at Copher-Fesler-May Funeral Home in Elwood. Cremation will occur following the service. 

Memorials for Hibst are suggested to the Grayson Hibst College Fund or the Pipe Creek Volunteer Fire Department.
