Friends of the Lincoln Collection symposium

Local News

Friends of the Lincoln Collection is gearing up to host a symposium on the former president. The topic is all about leadership, and how it’s changed over time.

The title of the symposium is “The Measure of Character in Leadership: Has it Changed Since Lincoln’s Time?”

Each panelist will give a reflection from their own perspective, whether it deals with politics, the law, or the cultural/higher education arena.  That will be followed by a “conversation” amongst the panelists and moderator and interaction with the audience.

The speakers include Paul Helmke, former Mayor of Fort Wayne; Jo Young Switzer, retired Manchester University President; Magistrate Judge Susan Collins.

The symposium is on Thursday, October 25, 7:00 p.m, at the Allen County Public Library main theater.  No tickets are required, and the event is free and open to the public.
