Local News

The Fort Wayne Music Festival is set to return to Headwaters Park this weekend as organizers prepare for their third year.

Jake Slater, a FWMF representative, joined First News Sunday to chat about the upcoming event.

This year’s festival features three nights, with three different music genres.

It all kicks off Thursday with “Throwback Thursday” from 7 p.m. to midnight. Ying Yang Twins, Twista, Mike Jones, and more will get the festival started as the headliners. Tickets for “Throwback Thursday” are $15.

The three-night event continues Friday with “Electric Spring.” RiFF RaFF will headline that night with several other regional and national DJ’s and hip hop artists. Friday’s concert runs from 7 p.m. to midnight and costs $10 for general admission.

The festival wraps up Saturday with “Rock on the River” from 4 p.m. to midnight. SEVENDUST is the headliner for Saturday’s performances, with six other bands getting the crowd warmed up. Tickets are limited and cost $25.

All three nights have VIP tickets available for an additional charge. You can get tickets here.

The event will also benefit the Boys and Girls Club.
