FORT WAYNE, Ind. (WANE) – Two semis crashed in the northbound lanes of I-69 near Coldwater Road Friday morning, causing one of the rigs to burst into flames.
The crash happened shortly before 5:30 a.m. and neither driver was seriously hurt.
A hazmat crew was called to the scene to clean up spilled fuel and Beier also said neither semi was carrying any hazardous materials, although diesel fuel that spilled onto the roadway had to be cleaned up.
At least one lane of the interstate was closed through the noon hour.
It’s not known yet what caused the crash.
