Climb aboard all train enthusiasts. The Festival of Trains is back at Science Central for the weekend.
The 22nd annual event kicked off Friday morning. People of all ages are invited to explore the model train sets to learn more about the hobby.
Science Central Executive Director, Martin Fisher, has three reasons why residents should visit.
“One, it’s a lot of fun. Two, it’s a great way for families to be able to get away from shopping or get out of the house and be able to enjoy something together as a family,” said Fisher. “Three, this is science and engineering in a really unique and applied manner.”
The Festival of Trains is free with Science Central admission. It’s $9 for ages 3 and up, and free for kids 2 and under.
Saturday hours are from 10 am to 5 pm.
The festival goes from noon to 5 on Sunday.
