Festival energizes Fort Wayne to spring forward

Local News

As people get ready to move their clocks ahead an hour, downtown Fort Wayne is putting on a celebration. Spring Forward Fest is going on Saturday, March 9.

It’s a new multi-venue music and arts event on the final day of standard time prior to the time change. Guests are encouraged to visit three downtown destinations: Embassy Theatre, Ash Skyline Plaza and Parkview Field. Each location will have a different band playing throughout the night.

  • Embassy Theatre featuring music by Bloody Tambourine and the Musical Mafia
  • Ash Skyline Plaza featuring DJ Adam Meyer with light projections by Alec Johnson
  • Parkview Field featuring music by James and the Drifters.

Spring Forward Fest guests will receive colored LED novelty wearables (while supplies last). Patrons are encouraged to walk between venues or utilize a free trolley.

Food and beverages will be available for purchase at each location. The free celebration is from 6 p.m. – 10 p.m. Saturday, March 9. Fireworks are scheduled to go off at Parkview Field at 10 p.m.
