Saturday morning at Lakeside Park, Associated Churches is hosting a 5k run, walk, ruck for Father’s Day weekend.
The money raised and other donations will go to A Baby’s Closet, which helps low-income families and those experiencing hardships by providing essential baby items to safely and adequately care for their children. Those who choose to run with a ruck sack can fill it with donations for A Baby’s Closet.
This is the fourth year for this event, and this year the attendance has grown by around 100 people.
Along with the 5k there is face painting, bubbles, balloons, and a pancake breakfast.
The event will run until 11:30 am.
