Officials estimate nearly 2,000 people braved the cold to participate in the 45th annual Fort Wayne March For Life Saturday afternoon.
The march is a peaceful protest of the 1973 Supreme Court ruling, Roe v. Wade, that legalized abortion across the nation through all nine months of pregnancy. The national march was held last week.
“It’s important for not only us, but our children to know all life is valuable, whether you’re a baby in a mother’s womb or you’re elderly and over one-hundred years old. So, we think all life is important and valuable and we wanted to pass that on to our children” said march participant Natalie Foster.
Marchers started marching at the University of Saint Francis Performing Arts Center on Berry Street and ended infront of the Federal Office.
