Elementary students raise funds to help abused, neglected children

Local News

Students at Huntertown Elementary have raised funds to buy stuffed bears for abused and neglected children.

Each year, the 5th grade Student Ambassadors at Huntertown Elementary raise funds to support a local charity. This year, the students picked Allen County CASA as the recipient of their “Stuffed with Love” fundraising project.

Throughout the year, students raised enough money to buy more than 30 stuffed bears.

The bears will be given to CASA volunteers, who will give them to children in the community involved in CHINS (children in need of services) cases.
