Tuesday, November 6th is election day.
In Indiana, polls are open from 6 a.m. to 6 p.m. You will need to bring a state-issued I.D. with you when you go to vote. You must be registered. Registration closed in October. Voters in Ohio can visit www.myohiovote.com.
Several companies are offering free or discounted rides to the polls. In Fort Wayne, Citilink buses will be operating fare-free. Uber, Lyft, and Zipcar are also offering free or discounted rides across the country.
More than 30 million people took advantage of early voting nationwide. 710,572 Hoosiers voted early according to the Indiana Secretary of State’s Office. That’s close to the 800,564 who voted early in 2016. Only 239,724 voted early in 2014. There are 4,536,903 registered voters in the state of Indiana.
