Police believe speed and alcohol are factors in a crash that left one man in serious condition Wednesday afternoon.
According to the DeKalb County Sheriff’s Office, an SUV was traveling south on CR 427 near in the 3100 block in DeKalb County around 4:00 p.m. when it went off the road while going around a curve.
The SUV continued sideways, hit a roadside ditch and rolled. It crashed into a fence and eventually stopped upside down.
The driver, 43-year-old Shane Marshall, was trapped in the vehicle and had to be cut out of his seatbelt. Marshall was taken to the hospital with injuries to his neck and head and was listed in serious condition.
The crash is under investigation.
