Fire crews were called to BF Goodrich Monday night after a fire broke out.
Fire alarms had been going off for some time before external fire crews were called.
Firefighters from multiple departments responded to the tire manufacturing plant at 18906 Old US 24, Woodburn, just after 11 p.m.
When crews arrived, they found smoke coming from the loading dock area of the factory.
That part of the building evacuated while crews worked to put it out and investigate.
Fire department crews declared the fire under control within a half hour.
It’s not clear how the fire started, or what the extent of the damage was.
No other information was immediately available as facility security would not allow WANE 15 crews on BF Goodrich property Monday night.
