Community leaders in Fort Wayne are launching Free Breakfast Lecture Series aimed at bringing creative individuals together. The first CreativeMornings event is happening on Friday.
A common concern among creatives in Fort Wayne is that there are great things happening in the city, but not enough ways for creative people to connect and build on each other’s progress. That is the goal of a new monthly meetup called CreativeMornings FTW, launching in January 2019.
On the second Friday of each month, anyone who calls themselves “creative” in Fort Wayne will be invited to a free event, featuring a short talk by a local creative, a Q&A, and of course, free breakfast.
CreativeMornings is sponsored by Artlink, which will serve as a homebase for the event.
Each month, a different location for the breakfast will be announced, rotating from Artlink to other creative spaces in the downtown Fort Wayne area.
The first event is on Friday, January 11th, from 8:30 a.m. to 10 a.m. at The B-Side at One Lucky Guitar. The speaker will be designer and musician, Nate Utesch, talking about the theme “surreal.”
CreativeMornings is part of a national breakfast lecture series that started in NYC in 2008. Since then, it has grown to more than 170 cities all over the world.
