After years of pop-ups, private events, and catering, Bird and Cleaver has a brick and mortar location.
Co-owner and chef John Cheesebrew stopped by Studio 15 to show what’s on the menu.
Chef Cheesebrew offered up their After School Special. The dish features sofrito spiced black beans, sticky rice, mashed avocado, cilantro, chimichurri slaw, vegan aioli, Taki dust, and queso fresco cheese.
Chef Cheesebrew says he and his wife eat a vegeterian lifestyle so they wanted to incorporate that into their menu. They feature items that even meat-eaters will enjoy.
The Cheesebrews used to cater private events, and host pop-up restaurants, but in 2018 they decided to open their location in the Wells Street Cooridor.
