Big Brothers Big Sisters of Northeast Indiana is asking for the public’s votes in a contest for grant money. The State Farm Neighborhood Assist grant contest will award forty $25,000 grants to community causes across the country. Big Brothers Big Sisters (BBBS) of Northeast Indiana is one of the top 200 finalists.

BBBS wants to use the money for their Real Men Read program. The program enlists men to visit schools across Allen County and read to elementary school students. According to BBBS, 238 adult male volunteers visited 250 Allen County classrooms and read to 6,200 elementary children in the Fort Wayne Community School and East Allen County School districts.

Each person can vote up to 10 times a day. Voting ends at midnight on August 24, 2018. The winners of the grants will be announced September 25th.
