FORT WAYNE, Ind. (WANE) - Police arrested one man early Friday after they said they found drugs on him during a pre-dawn raid of his south-side home.
Around 6:45 a.m., members of the Fort Wayne Police Department’s Narcotics Division and the Emergency Services Team served a search warrant at a home at 6015 Southcrest Road, off South Calhoun Street. Police said 27-year-old Mandell Strawter and another man were at the home when they arrived.
Authorities found almost 1/2 ounce of heroin and .6 grams of crack cocaine on Strawter, police said. A small digital scale was found in the home, which police said was commonly used to weigh narcotics.
Strawter was arrested on three counts of Dealing Cocaine or Narcotic Drug (Heroin) and one count of Possession of Cocaine.
